Visiting Washington, DC with Your Dog

Bring the whole family, including the four-legged members

Washington, DC, is one of the more dog-friendly cities in the US. There are green spaces, leafy neighborhoods built for long walks and plenty of cafés with outdoor seating. All you need is a hotel that welcomes your dog as warmly as it welcomes you.

Welcome to Lyle DC.

Our pet fee is a one-time $100 per stay, not per night, and we'll ask you to sign a short dog agreement at check-in. Service animals are always welcome at no charge. Staying longer with your dog? Get in touch and we'll put together a bespoke rate.

Paws at Lyle: our dog-friendly offer

To celebrate our four-legged guests, our Paws at Lyle offer waives the pet fee. It includes:

  • Overnight accommodation in your chosen pet-friendly room
  • A local map of the best dog-friendly parks nearby
  • Our signature pet amenities: bed, bowls and homemade treats

There's a one-night minimum, and rates are based on two guests.

Where can I walk my dog near Dupont Circle?

Lyle is just steps from the S Street dog park and Dupont Circle's tree-lined streets are made for an easy morning loop. A few ideas:

  • The off-leash dog park nearby for a proper run. Ask our team for directions.
  • Dupont Circle itself for a slow lap around the fountain.
  • Rock Creek Park for longer leashed walks on wooded trails.
  • The National Mall for a leashed stroll past the monuments, ideally early, before the crowds.

Which rooms are best for a stay with a dog?

Many of our rooms are dog-friendly, including the Deluxe King with kitchenette. A kitchenette is handy for storing your dog's food, and the extra space gives everyone room to stretch out. Our rooms are designed to feel like a stylish friend's apartment, with natural materials and a calm palette. Your dog will feel at home quickly. So will you.
