ACCESSIBILITY

Lyle Washington DC is ready and able to accommodate guests with disabilities and/or requiring wheelchair access. Our hotel entrance is at street-level with an access ramp, and there is also a drop-off area at the Hotel’s main entrance for guests arriving by car.

Our lobby and restaurant are all situated on the ground floor, making the public spaces of the hotel all easily accessible. Lyle offers guest rooms that are fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), meaning guests can enjoy their stay in complete comfort.

 

Our public spaces offer:

  • Accessibility for Service Animals 
  • Accessible route from public entrance to registration and concierge, restaurants and lounges, accessible guest rooms, meeting spaces, fitness center, valet
  • Visual and Audible fire alarm
  • Accessible bathrooms
  • Doorways that provide at least 32” clear width

 

Each of our accessible rooms come equipped with:

  • Required maneuvering clearances
  • Lowered bathroom sink
  • Roll-in shower, with built-in bench, handrails inside and outside the shower, and hand-held shower with hose
  • Clearances underneath bathroom vanities
  • Lowered shelving, wardrobe rails and safe for easier access
  • Additional space to accommodate a wheelchair
  • Visual and Audible fire alarm
  • Telephone notification device
  • Portable communication kits containing visual alarms and notification devices
  • Braille detail on door signs
  • Accessible privacy latch
  • Accessible door knobs/handles
  • Televisions with closed captioning
  • Doorways that provide at least 32” clear width
