Capital Pride 2026

There's nowhere quite like Dupont Circle during Pride. Washington's most beloved LGBTQ+ neighborhood has been the beating heart of DC's queer community since the 1970s and every June, it reminds you exactly why with Lyle in the middle of all of the events
This year's Capital Pride theme is "Exist, Resist, Have the Audacity" and runs from June 12 through June 21st. Here are the events not to be missed.
The Capital Pride Parade
The parade steps off at 3pm on Saturday, June 20, from 14th and T Streets NW within walking distance to Lyle, travelling down 14th Street, through Thomas Circle and along Pennsylvania Avenue to 9th Street NW. Line the streets early, find your spot and let the city do what it does best.
Capital Pride Street Festival
On Sunday, June 21, Pennsylvania Avenue between 3rd and 7th Streets NW becomes the largest LGBTQ+ street festival in the country with three stages, over 300 exhibitors, food, music and entertainment running well into the evening. Free to attend and open to all.
Around the Neighborhood
When the parade is done, come home to Dupont Circle. Connecticut Avenue and P Street are lined with bars, restaurants and community spaces that have welcomed this community for decades. Step outside Lyle and you're already there.
Before and After
Start the day right at Lyle's and fuel up before the parade with a proper breakfast or settle in after the festival for a well-earned drink. Either way, you won't have far to go.
